Trip to Marseille and More!

Hello there everyone! I'm sitting here in this great creperie place using their internet. The internet saga continues in Aix! It's always something around here.. geez!

Well the intensive course is over, thank goodness. It was actually quite stupid. Big waste of time but I will definitely take the 1 credit and leave a happy camper. I picked my classes the other day. We had to schedule a ton of them, I picked 19 credits worth and my roommate was forced to picked 23 credits worth. In France you cannot add classes you can only drop, so the idea is that you pick more classes than you intend to stand in and then you can drop the ones you hate! We're having lots of problems (as usual) with courses because apparently if there are a lot of Americans or foreign students in one class, the professor can just kick all of you out. PC? Not so much lol!

Anyways I picked 3 history courses, 2 literature courses, a speaking class, and the program class.. I think that's it? But I fully intend on not taking one of the lit classes or the speaking class. I should end up with 14 credits and class only on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday morning! Woo permanent 3-day weekend! Let the traveling begin...

Speaking of traveling... we went to Marseille this weekend. It was amazing because it was nearly 70 degrees outside! In January. We took a boat ride to this really neat island. The views of the Mediterranean were wonderful. I took plenty of time to remind myself that I was on a boat, in the Mediterranean, in January. Fantastic! Once we got to the island we climbed some mountainous terrain (all of us in our stylish boots lol wonderful for climbing). After that we went to this restaurant, port-side, and got some food. We waited an hour to get food. It was absurd. Boo France. But the good news is that the lasagna I had was AMAZING. I loved it. I was sorely disappointed that I was unable to finish it all. It was a monstrous piece. We went to a cute little museum afterwards and saw some Italian art and then up to this church that overlooks Marseille. That place was really, really cool. The inside of the church was super elaborate. I have some pics below.. enjoy :)
