The Land of the Inconvenient!!!!!

Well it has definitely been a few days since I updated but it has been quite busy for me! Marley and I finally found an apartment. It is really great (at least we think so) and I've put some pictures for you all to see for yourselves.

So we moved into our lovely apartment and finally got to unpack. I was super happy about that! We had some of our friends over because initially we had internet access. The landlord gave us the free wifi code and it was working for a good 2 hours. Then it stopped. Awful. It hasn't worked like that since then. So we decided to go to the internet place and talk to them about what we should do. We ended up getting this aircard type thing for the 15 days that we have to wait for the internet access to be up. We were all excited and took that home and surprise surprise.. it doesn't work! Ugh. Ugh. Ugh. That was so annoying.

Later that night we went out! It was soooo fun! People met at our apartment for drinks first and then we headed out to the bars :) It was awesome. The bars were packed. The streets around them were packed. It's so freaking cool. After we spent some time there we decided to go to a club. We were there until about 4:15am... dancing like maniacs the whole time woo!!! :) Marley and Jess actually met the owner and his cousin and they gave us 3 free bottles of champagne and some other stuff! Awesome!!!! 

Sunday was such a lazy day because everything is closed and going to bed at 5am definitely moved back the wake-up time. We lounged around the apartment until like 3 and then decided to go on a walk. We bought some bread and wandered around a bit. It was a pretty nice day. Then we went back home to prepare for our Sunday dinner!!! Some of the girls from the program came over and we all pitched in for a potluck dinner. We had pasta with butter sauce and spices, roasted veggies, bread, couscous, and then lots of desserts. Yummy :) Everyone stayed a little longer after dinner and we talked about all of our travel wishes! Of course there are a million places that we all want to go so we'll see. Afterwards the internet was making me really mad so I went to bed kind of pissed off at France in general! 

Woke up this morning for our first class and I wanted to straighten my hair and guess what??!? I blew a fluse! Great. So my straightener is now dead. Awesome start to the day. Then we walked to the University and had the most pointless elementary French class that is a required class of the course. So stupid and long. To top it all off, it was FREEZING in the room. Finally that class was over and we had a 3 hour meeting for the program. Luckily that meeting was in a computer lab so I just got on facebook and my email. They were saying really pointless things anyways. Then they taught us how to look for classes and of course that is really annoying as well. It's kind of a dumb process and it's difficult to navigate. To make is worse like NONE of the classes that stupid IU said were available were actually available. Great. Now I really have no idea what classes I'm going to take so we'll see...

After that we left and walked back to the internet place. After waiting a good 25 minutes we went up and apparently the woman from Saturday sold us the wrong SIM card for the aircard thing. Grrrreat. But they gave us a new one and it connected so we went on our way. Got home and it is not working either. UGGGGGH. Now I'm at Boca Loca with some of the girls just eating some good ol' mexican food and blowing off some steam. I have to say that France is just ridiculous with some things and it frustrates me. A lot. lol

Still having a nice time just irritated with the inconvenience! 

Should be headed to Monaco next Saturday (Marseille this Saturday)
